LE PAS SAGE
It's the story of a crossroads... And the testimony of a relay... From RAONI to the new generation, from the lungs of the Earth to... Audrey DANA
The film tells the incredible story of an unprecedented human and artistic expedition.
For the first time, a Native Amazonian people will express themselves through an artistic project designed for the Western world. The Xingu people, known to us through the renowned chief Raoni, are also at a pivotal moment in their history, with the succession of their new chief Watatakalu YAWALAPITI.

The first woman to enter the very male-dominated circle of Amazon representatives abroad, after a lifetime of campaigning for the land and for women, she will be working alongside Audrey DANA and her team to bring this unique project to life.

At the age of 42, Watatakalu Yawalapiti has become a recognized and respected chief, but she still suffers from the fact that the voice of her people is not sufficiently heard. Her daily task is to protect her village and secure recognition of their rights. A leader's DNA inspired by her father, a former member of the National Indian Foundation (FUNAI).
This artistic project could be a wake-up call for the recognition that is essential in this territory.
